A lot can happen in one year. Since I last voiced my thoughts about "God's Will," God has opened many opportunities up for me.So, where do I begin?
Spring is usually the time for new beginnings, or even the "New Year," but for the church the year begins anew in September. September is a time when kids are going back to school, and autumn winds rustle through the changing pallets of the trees. No wonder that it can be a time of both reflection and looking ahead.
When I left you last, I was trying to find direction and purpose. Since then, I have become involved in my church's WMU(Women's Missionary Union) group. September of this year I was elected to become the new WMU Director for my church. I'm still "green," but my passion for missions that had been growing since I met my first missionary as a child is becoming a passion with a purpose and direction.
To be specific, I feel revived and energized as I begin to plan for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Yes, I know that it is only October, but December will be here before we know it.
This experience has also taught me to ask for help and delegate. I have grand ideas, but if they become to grand then nothing will be accomplished. I am grateful for my ladies in the group, and am very blessed by their support and encouragement. Because of them, I know God has truly placed me in this position by His Will, and not by my own.
As I trek forward on this journey, I ask you to continue to pray for me as God is showing me my purpose for this moment in time.
